360 outsold the PS3 WW in 2011, wonder if the price cut will result in it doing the same in 2012. Sony should have dropped the price of the PS3 down.

You didn't know? Generally when we here talk about this and that selling more or less we are talking about sold to consumers. Otherwise we say shipped.

But you can agree that the corporations use shipped as the criteria for success. I mean this forum uses sold to people and thats cool, but my point is that the criteria of an industry set by the console makers themselves > some guys on a forum.

Not to mention there is no reliable means of tracking "sold to consumer". It doesn't exist. And none of it changes the fact that MS sold more 360's last year than Nintendo or Sony sold of their respective consoles.
