Forums - Microsoft - G27 and Forza

Hello,

I was just curious.. Is there ANY way to get a G27 to run with a Xbox 360 and Forza 4 / Forza Horizon?

Thanks!

Yes, if you use a converter like XCM F1.

To be honest if you can afford a top range Fanatec wheel that's the best for Forza 4. Turn 10 developed Forza 3 and 4 alongside this wheel. Turn 10 used this wheel to develop the game.

If buying another wheel is an issue, then the G27 isn't that bad with the converter. But review wise the Fanatec wheel is considered the top dog for Forza Motorsport.

Or maybe you can afford the ultimate wheel ever. Thee best reviewed wheel of all time.

How much does that cost? Will it give proper feedback etc?

@Selnor

Thanks for the tip mate, but I am not that much of a racing fan :P

$80-100

It is better than controller for sure but it almost ruin all the experiense of the G27.

Like @Selnor said the best option for Forza is the Fanatec.

Anyway wheel per wheel the G27 is way better than any Fanatec... the problem is not the wheel but the conversor. That's really sad the Forza not support the top wheels in the market.

Holy fuck.

I see, well forget it. I'd consider it if it was like 20 euros tops xD. Thanks for the quick reply anyway!

The 2nd wheel I posted was the best reviewed wheel bar none. But then it is over $1000. Fanatec are a brilliant make.

Any Fanatec wheel in te $200 range is also amazing. Theres nothing the G27 can or cant do that the good Fanatec wheels can do. i own both so can compare. Actually I own the G25 for when I used to PC sim. But the Fanatec Porche 911 wheel has jusst as good FF and full 900 degree turning circle.

But like I said if you have got a spare $1000 + the Forza 4 Fanatec edition wheel is the only weel to have compressed pedals so you get  real feel and 3 motors driving the FF. Demolishes the G27 on all fronts. but then it should for the cost.

Any Fanatec wheel in the $200 range make you spent more $100 with pedals and shifter.

It's my opinion but I think the G27 shifters better then any Fanatec and I think the T500RS the best wheel in the market... better than both G27 or Fanatec CSR Elite.

At the end I think you have two options:

1) Best wheel for PC/PS3/X360 = Fanatec CSR Elite
2) Best wheel for PC/PS3 = T500RS

You need to share the wheel between PC, PS3 and X360 the Fanatec is the best choice * almost the only one *.

PS. I think the MS need to open their consoles to 3rd party controllers... that's a big issue here... PC and PS3 support everything in the market (some exception of course).
