Simply amazing, ps2 is 12 years old but still gets support! Even if it's just sports games, it's still amazing. Fairwell to the king of consoles :(

Sorry but the NES is king of consoles.

There's no Madden this year, same as the 3DS. That's a first.

According to Rol, you all should be thankful and expect a rise in PS2 hardware sales.

All right then, PS2 is the prince of consoles.

Also, I knew about the NES but forgot about the Japanese one which is the Famicom that lasted 20 years.

12 years for a console is still amazing though

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

It might come close to 20 years but I think it only has a few years left of sports games.  However, those last years of the NES were just twilight years in Japan.  My top home console list would probably be something like this.  Just going by overall what they did for the video game market (sales, games, expanding the market, etc).  I usually give NES number 1 due to the 80s crash and growing up with it.  I would like to put the Atari 2600 in that list but they did cause the crash.

1) NES

2) PS1

3) PS2

4) Wii

5) Genesis

meh, next year we'll see a bunch of sports games, and probably some niche titles

All good.  I was just giving you a hard time.  Although when you die you could request a PS2 to be placed on your heart.

Oh PS2. We've had some good times. Never with Final Fantasy XI, but some excellent times nonetheless.
