Enjoyed the game as well but the bugs frustrated me sometimes, especially the one in the mission 'Mrs Chu's Revenge'. Who else had the game freeze after hijacking Ratface's car in that level? Happened in my playthrough and my brother's.

Also, I don't know if this was just me but Big Smile Lee's links to the 18K were really confusing. He was one the rival red poles in the Sun On Yee but every almost mission where his thugs were attacking you the objectives said it was the 18K. I don't know if was an error on the developers part but if it wasn't it was a fairly major plot hole.

I finished it about two weeks ago. I never wanted it to end, and I'll most likely be messing around the cities for a good while.

The only aspect I didn't care for was the predictable story.

I knew just about everything that was going to happen within the first 30 minutes of the game.

-I knew the british guy was the main bad guy as soon as he spoke.

2. I knew Jackie was going to be killed as soon as it was established that he was the plucky sidekick

3. Didn't see WInston and his fiance getting killed on their wedding day though.

The dating parts could've been fleshed out more too.

I actually did not really think about all the main story plots. But really enjoyed the story as it went on. And Wei Shin was such a great character, he felt so real for me. And the only thing that really bugged me was the dating, it was a way to gain your face lvl. not more. I thought Amanda would be a bigger part at least I mean she got the voice of Emma Stone.

And the ending was a bit weak. The Pendrew arrest in particular. Everything else was awesome.

Ohh men I really hope this makes profits and they make a Sequel for the next generation, and maybe some Gameplay DLC.

yea feel the same way awesome game playing it now about half way through second best to mass effect 3

Yeah, great game though I haven't finished it yet. Did you play it on PC or PS3?

On PC, because I pirated it and bought it afterwards on Steam. You can see it on my profile

Thought as much. Noticed that you just bought it :P

Yeah I had such a bad bad conscience. I bought the game and all DLC after I finished the pirated game. I usually don´t support Day one DLC but this game deserves every cent.

Yeah, it was a pretty awesome game. They have said they will be releasing more DLC and have even detailed some of it.

Street Racer Pack - I'm guessing it will be more races
SWAT Pack - 20 new cop missions
Tactical Soldier Pack - From the description given, it will just be a weapon
Community Gift Pack - something that's "surprising"

They also said they're going to lift the lid on the first batch (yay!) of story-driven DLC on October 14.

Fantastic game, I was convinced when I first saw it as True Crime: hong Kong. I'm so glad it came out in the end. Just loved every moment of it. Until, Assassin's Creed III and Far Cry 3 come out, this is my GOTY

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Yea, this deserves to at least be a trilogy, so I plan on buying all the DLC they come out with to show support.

Why have i never noticed that the person whos high scores on jumps and clean driving etc that im all the time trying to beat in sleeping dogs was you O_O

I never noticed you was Voxelman x_x.

Anyway to the OP. Yes i beat sleeping dogs a few weeks back. It would easy be my GOTY .

I should jump in and see how many of mine you have beaten, and beat you again lol. Clean driving can be a bitch, there is always something random that screws you up, that and I like powersliding arround corners which almost always stops the count lol. I never did beat your top speed time.

Oh and by ending I mean the final mission not the actual ending.

Do you think it was incredible enough to have a chance for GoY?

Depends on personal tastes of people that decide that stuff... also not enough people bought or tried it.

In my own opinion, after I played Sleeping Dogs (100% everything), I wanted to play more Sandbox games... and I tried a few from past that I had passed on.

Sleeping Dogs is better than those. Has great fighting, awesome driving, satisfying shooting, and decent plot/story/progression. Plus it's "social" features are pretty cool letting you know within game how to rank on wide range of things with friends on your list that played same game.
