(Please dn't flame if this was already a thread i didn't bother to look)

 IMO the best bands of all time according to the regions i can understand are

 Guns N' Roses-America

Im torn between Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd for England.

 ACDC-Australia.

 

What are the best bands in your opinion?  Throw in some other regions if you'd like.

Well U2 has Ireland sown up.
As for Canada?... Neil Young is a pretty damn good choice, but I'd give the UK to David Bowie.

Your list is pretty much my picks. I'd go with Zeppelin as my top choice for the UK. Led Zeppelin IV is probably my favorite album of all time.

USA - Iced Earth, followed by Metallica (they kicked ass in the 80s)
England - Iron Maiden
Ireland - U2
Finland - Nightwish
Sweden - tie between Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity, and In Flames
Germany - Blind Guardian
Italy - Rhapsody of Fire (formerly known as just Rhapsody)
Japan - X Japan

 yeah led zeppelin IV is definately my favorite led zeppelin album-stairway to heaven, rock and roll,  when the levee breaks, all classics.
