If they're keeping the leads from Liverpool, then I wouldn't worry much about the WipeOut series. They can always bring it back. It looks like the core talent is just being sent elsewhere.

This is sad for those who lost their jobs and those having to relocate, but I think it's going to be much less of an issue for gamers in general. They might even continue work elsewhere on one or both of the projects begun at Liverpool. In fact, I feel pretty confident that work on a PS4 WipeOut will go forward.

Wipeout was Sony exclusive? What else did this studio do except of this?

I think there is. Activision has gutted its UK development. Sony is closing down UK studios, and this whole gen they focused less and less on UK development and more on mainland studios. The reason would be the removal of tax breaks for gave devs in the UK- if this turns out to be the reason why.

OT: WipEOUT HD and fury is a great game! It's a sad thing losing this studio, hard times for Sony. PS is in deep trouble, hopefully they can turn it around.
