Forums - Gaming - First Multiplayer Trailer For Call Of Duty Black Ops 2

Visual style looks interesting and the maps look much more open ended and a lot better than MW3 ones. I was hoping they would show off the insane changes they made in Create-a-class as has been floating around the internet, but unfortunately nothing on that.

I guess I'll just have to wait until the end of this month for the gamestop expo where the MP will actually be playable. Plus zombies is what I'm really looking forward to.

That actually looked pretty good tbh...much more interesting looking that I expected :S

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

this saved cod for me

The maps reminded me of ones from other games. The first one had a bit of the look of Afgan (Modern Warfare 2) with the downed jet right in the middle from one of the Homefront levels. Weaving through all the shipping crates gave me flashbacks to Kharg Island (Battlefield 3).

To be fair, its the first time in awhile the game more updated look to it. Maybe its the just due to the length of time since I last play Call of Duty but it finally seems to have made another graphical step-up (MW2, Black Ops and MW3 all looked more or less identical to me). Still, I'm sold on Halo 4 and that's my FPS fix for the Christmas season.

CoD Maps are fast paced and i love that.

Wont buy Day 1 because i will be busy with Forza Horizon, Assassins Creed 3 and the best game Halo 4 and of course with College wich takes my entire Week except Friday but i will buy this on Christmas because it looks sick.

That distortion wave machine on the bridge looked pretty nice! Only way out of that would be to hide behind your friend and low crawl or something.

I always get my ass kicked on CoD multiplayer.

looks great

day one for me

Huh. I'm more interested in what the perks are. Those usually make or break CoD for me (see, Ghost in Black Ops, Assassin in MW3, One Man Army in MW2).

Also, looks like the knife is a one hit kill again (which is very bad). But was it an equipment? I couldn't tell from the trailer.

From what I know, there won't be any 3 perk slot system anymore. Basically you will be given a set amount of points with which you will have to buy your entire loadout. So essentially you could buy 5 perks but have no primary or secondary weapons, grenades, etc. You will start off with a knife and pick up someone else's weapon.

Also since it's a point system now, more effective perks such as assasin/ghost can cost much more than other perks which are not as big such as say quickdraw vs assasin in slot 2 in MW3. This means balancing the perk mechanic in the game is a lot easier and people can really cater the game to their will. Personally I don't really care for secondaries much, so I would prefer to have a perk in it's place.

Oh and I believe the knife is very likely an equipment now, meaning you will have to select it before being able to use it. So no more panic knifing.
