Well, take note of the number of seasons. If Moss has 6 more seasons in him, he very well can and should pass Rice in every category.

Moss could reach the numbers if he refuses to give up the game like Rice did. The thing is about Moss is he is not a very amiable character like Rice is. People like his personality less so he gets less respect from players, experts and fans. He still had one of the best reiceving carriers ever. He also lacks championships which also make him look worse. In the current NFL, it is even rarer to get as many championships as Rice, much less even one.

I suppose but you can play that "what if game" with a lot of things. For example, the game has changed a lot since the 80's with all of these phantom pass interference calls and all of the rules to protect the offensive players. Have you ever seen Ronnie Lott completely annihilate someone? That type of shit today gets dudes fined and suspended. Now if you wanna say that Rice had Montana and Young then I'll give you that ;)

Also, Moss playing less than Rice shouldn't be spun in Moss' favor. I don't know why exactly he's played less but if it's due to injury then hey, that's just one more thing Rice has over Moss. There is something to be said about durability and longevity, especially in football.

Yes, and many of the long term fans of the game are very aware it is less of a physical game. I give Rice more respect for having to play in a time where more contact on a reciever was allowed.

Though Rice played his late years for Choke land so I was pretty aware he was not an elite received at all during that time. He also tried to play for Denver late, but never did, so I remember how he became a non-factor. I am not sure how long Moss will continue, but he is not the biggest play ,maker now either.
