Forums - Gaming - Fear Effect Movie? At least it shows up on imdb...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0461661/

Anyone else remember the Fear Effect games for PS1? For those who don't, they were two of the most beautiful games for the system, and they played like a cross between Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil. Oh, and they also had one hell of a story.

Well, I was searching for the voice actors last night on a whim, and I came upon the above entry in imdb. Has anyone else heard anything about this? Apparently it's in production, but there doesn't seem to be any further info.

Also, under the "trivia" section: "Project was originally optioned in January 2004 with Uwe Boll in mind to direct." LOL.

EDIT: 500th post! Woo!

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Around the Network

I played only the first one. It was awesome. The games are more a cross between Silent Hill and MGS.

The ending to the first game was insane. I will not ruin it for those who haven't played it. The second one I never played but I heard it was better then the first. Eidos Interactive knows how to make games.

A movie would be great but I would hide the fact it was a game to the audience. We all know critics will bash it if they know it was based on a video game.
