cloud gaming, it will kill consoles and handhelds alltoghter, all you'll need is 30$ controller, which you'll be able to connect anywhere with internet and screen to access and play your games.

i.e. connect any PC (at home, at work..) any of the newer tv sets, your tablet, etc...

2 years ago I had PSP slim,Ds,gaming laptop,Ps3.PSP did have some few great games, but I used it mainly for music wherever I went..Ds had few good games and I used for, well, playing Brain Age when I was bored.If I were going on long trip I took all.
Now I have good phone which plays music and has internet so I don't need anymore handled consoles with my somewhat normal trips..
Well actually I just bought 2 days ago PSP go because it was so cheap and I wanted to play some old great games......

So...
