It's really hard to explain, but I liked it a lot better when Halo was the shooter king and not Cod, let me explain my reasoning.
Nowadays, COD is the king. And COD comes out every year so i have to hear the damn press talk about it everytime a new one is announced and showed. and After MW2(which I didn't like too much) the devs stopped giving a crap and are now just releasing them for the heck of it. And instead of Devs trying things different to conteract Cod, they just try and copy them. We see COD clones instead of different types of games because it is too "risky" to release something unique.
Even though I found it annoying that people constantly felt the need ask me to play a game of Halo back in the day(they still do, but not as much), I felt it was much better than the recent Call of Duty trend. I felt at least Bungie put a huge effort into Halo 1, 2, and 3. And at least the games would space out a good three years before releasing, so I wouldn't have to hear about it constantly from press. And the Devs back in the day, would try to be different from Halo, not copy it. Im sure there were some Halo clones, but there was a lot more variety than the Constant "COD formula" of today. And whats funny is one example of different game that was awesome that counter acted Halo was Call of Duty 4, which ultimatly lead to this COD craze in the first place. XD
So thats my rant, which did you like better? When Halo was King or now when it's COD as the King of the shooters?
