If only it would end up on a console. But even if it did, by then it will be labeled as done on smartphones, so
a. less people would be interested
b. more people will have the impression that smartphones can do what game consoles can
and c. the dev, not making nearly as much money as from the not soo well controlling smartphone verions, will draw the abomination of a conclusion that smartphones are the future of gaming.
Take this very example in the OP. The action on the screen is super great. The potential for a frantic game wich is hard but oh so sweet to master since you have to run, jump, slide, aim, shoot, change weapons and what not, all at a rush pace is high. The implemented controls however are start to run, jump and slide. What a waste. And the (very) vast majority of peopole who game on the go (i.e. smartphone users) are convinced that this is the best there is in mobile (and possibly all) gaming ever.
Can you spot the direction that that game consumers and game makers are taking gaming as a whole?
