The big hole I find in this is that the PS Move is in a worse position and it gets no article. Wii is winding down but WiiU saves the day.

Kinect is the industries biggest motion interest as of now and this will only continue with next gen Xbox.

Even when you succeed, theres haters.

yes, indeed. redicolous that sony's move gets no article. but on the other side, the 100 owners should know that sony's support for move could be way better :)

did sony even mention move at e3?

MOVE had more support than motion+ and almost as much as Kinect, and SPorts Champions 2 was announced at E3, if your gonna troll at least know what your talking about

Clearly we have two ideas of "Move Support". Many, like me, dont count controller based games with motion added as a tack on. Like I dont consider Forza 4, ME3, or GRFS "kinect games". True Kinect and Move games stand on their own feet.

And in that regard....its pure fact that Move specific games are few and far between....even fewer that manage to score above 70 on metacritic. Sorry if the truth is trolling in your eyes.

Kinect is a fother mucking scam, and being a tech hoar, I fell for it. Good job, Microsoft. They won't fool me again though, and I know people won't be fooled by lame smartglass, as if its even comparable to the Wii U gamepad lol.

Sad part is if I trade in that black plastic garbage, I'd barely get $20 or 1600 MS points for it. sorry POS

Kinect is more for casuals and we all know it. At least its also useful for navigating the dash and marketplace. For us, hopefully Steel Battalion, Fable Journey, and Ryse are good.

Its a "scam" because your all "me me me". Nintendo fans had to share the Wii with casuals for 6+ years! And now people like you are complaining that 360 gamers gotta share with casuals for 2?

gimme a break

Wii was casual from the start, it was only the suckers on here that bought it and declared it non casual over and over again listing all the great (crap) games that were good for hardcore (Conduit...hahahahaha) I remember all the Vgchartz vets taking offense...

Now look at you!!!? yeah look at you all....you've changed your tune haven't you.

Xbox 360 on the other hand was never a piece of shit casual console like the Wii until Kinect came along, so the people buying it got it chucked on afterwards, that's entirely different. If you're stupid enough to jump off a cliff knowing there's sharks below then you deserve all you get, if you were tricked into jumping off into a beautiful oasis only to find actually there were sharks there, it's a little different.

...I'm so right, so right in fact that if I'd have said what I have about the Wii here 3 years ago I'd have got a ban, now people will just agree with me.

I'm just gonna say this...I don't care about the pseudo Wii games on Kinect, what I expected was more slick integration into the big games (like what we saw with G.R. future soldier).  Madden seems like is going to try voice controls, but the lag was so embarrasingly bad I felt for Joe Montana being shamed like that at E3. I guess we have to wait for Kinect v2 to get the real thing durrrdurrr

I'm just salty at Piss3 and Microsoft atm..Im just itching to sell those sumbich systems to add to my Wii U fund...unfortunately I can't yet b/c of Madden, GTA & Halo 4. Just tired of those non innovative Nintendo idea leeching fux, I wish one of them went away so that Ninty can hit us with real power, but they can't cause those other 2 behomoths hog that sector, forcing Nintendo to be U-nique (cheaper).

Couldn't agree more mate,

That's my reason for hating Kinect so much, it could have been so good and genuinely useful if not for the lag. Hell, I even bough 2 for both my Xbox 360s as I believed the hype, if there was no lag in responding to commands, I'd be happy with it just for navigating the dashboard. That lag or lack thereof makes it either the best gaming peripheral in the last 20 years or one of the worst. Sadly we'll have to wait at least another year or two for something that does what Kinect should have done...

I'm 27 not getting any younger, I don't wanna be 30 by time a decent Kinect look alike comes out, but that's how it is I spose booohooooo....:p

What did you think of Heavy Rain with Move if I may ask if you got a chance to play it? Would you consider that to be a Move game? I agree with you though on number of titles, Move is heavily undersupported which is a shame because the technology is definately ready for prime time, it's accurate, smooth and works virtually all the time. Hence why I like it and really did enjoy it with Heavy Rain specifically.

I still think my claims of Kinect being remembered like the 32x in the future could happen.

Nah the 32x had a few good games and wasn't actually that bad, just came out the wrong time and Sega had no intention of supporting it. MS has put it's full weight behind Kinect (for them at least, they are hardly the game releasing power house Sony is, let's be honest). Kinect is just flawed mess and 32x was a friendly mushroom.

So you don't even consider games like "Child of Eden" to be Kinect games, just because it gives you the choice to alternatively play it with a traditional controller?

Personally, I feel that Kinect turned out to be just what I always said: A great peripheral for dance and sports/fitness games.

For core gamers on the other hand, it's a 150$ microphone that can nod.

in terms of number ms and sony are about on par publishing wise with this gen of console....

and kinect ain't flawed at that price tag.... it's like if you buy a moped don't expect it to ride like duggati on the interstate.... it's like expecting the same performance from a 200 dollars tablet than a 1000 bucks laptop.... it does it's job... and people talking abour lag on the dash.... i defy you to go anywhere faster starting with an off pad than with voice command.... beside games i rarely use the pad anymore.... and i can do so much more now.... like typing on vgchartz forums while navigating netflix or zune..... or even eat without greassing up my pads etc.... for 150 i wasn't expecting anything close to minority report so in that regard i'm quite satisfied... i just wish you had more kinect integration from devs....

I think that sums up my view, genuinely was expecting something at least resembling Minority Report, obviously not quite like that but you know. Kinect can be had quite cheap now but I believe it was £149.99 over here on release, although quickly dropped to £129.99 which was the price I originally payed, granted it can be had now for about £70 every now and again which is a fair price.

I guess I only have myself to blame really, should have waited. Deep down it's not even Kinect itself that is my problem, it's that there isn't an alternative that can actually pull off what it does. If it combined the best bits of move, like the accuracy it would be a dream come true for me.

I respect your comment on the dashboard, but there's still that wait for everything, when it shouldn't be hard to have things be a bit snappier. I'm sure that could be improved somehow since the variables for processing are totally controlled by MS at dashboard level use, if that was made so there wasn't a 1 second pause between each command it would just feel so much more integrated and not a chore.

I'm sure if I used it for a few days and forced myself not to use the controller it would grow on me and maybe I'd find it a genuine replacement for the controller...Might give that a go, it's been a while and it is just sitting there above the TV doing nothing and making me look at it with scorn every morning at the money wasted lol.

So its SOny and MS's fault that Ninty is too cowardly to put out a system that has power, and your on SOny and MSs ass for not being innovative but want NInty to do what they do power wise? yeah makes alot of sense

Something wrong with demanding the best of both worlds? And saying cowardly is a bit unfair, remember, Nintendo went down that road before with GCN.

Which one do you want? YOu want them to go down the GC?? Cause first you were saying thats what you want and now your bringing GC in the picture. My point is there is nothing stopping them from doing that. They go down that road and dont "win" oh well. Like that system better than Wii anyway

Here the thing those games you mention for Kinect dont actually USE the motion function at all. the use the mic, so you would be stupid to consider those games as kinect games. KZ3, GE Reloaded, HR, MAG, RE5 etc actually USe the motion control aspect.

As for Move specific games...your right Ill give you that. BUt lets be real here, what possible Move specific games could they have? minigame collections, exercise, dance?? THe same shovelware nonsense that i hated on my Wii and the same nonsense thats invading the 360?? If you like those games have at you. I dont, im more than happy playing some core games with motion "tacked-on"

Among the games I listed, only ME3 is purely mic based. Forza and GR can be motion controlled to an extent. But even if it was just the mic, thats part of what kinect can do.

Point is though, the vast majority of gamers that play hybrid kinect/Move titles do so with what they were intended to be played with....a gamepad controller.

Well you pretty much validated that even with buttons the typical Move specific game cant reach beyond what Kinect has already accomplished. Your all free to play those tacked on Move functionality games, but you must know your a tiny minority in that respect.
