Why the hell is this news? All companies competing in the same market should watch each other.

Gamers dont see PC as MS controlled.....even though all gaming PCs see the Windows icon when they boot up :P

The PS1 was born from an idea that originated between Sony and Nintendo Star Fox was a polygonal (3D) game on the SNES in 1993, and the Saturn predated the PS1 by about a year and had 3D graphics Sony was first with dual analogs, I think CDs and DVDs? The SEGA CD, I guess. Or some more obscure console no one cares about. S....six other friends in the fourth dimension? Probably some PC title about time travel? |
LOL turkish come on dude.....
anything you named was on PC 10 years before PS1.... heck even 3D like today I had a pair of glasses back in the 90's with which I could play descent in 3D.....
alone in the dark on PC was in 3D grphic first
using CD over anything else came directly from the PC gaming industry....
I had dual analof pads for my PC before any PS was out....
Sony didn't invent anything... they just did a great job at packaging it and moving something that existed for a while from the computer room to the living room....
and then MS did it again by moving the LAN aspect and online media consuption from the laptop to the living room console.... heck MS published video games before sony even started on PC gaming....
each company built upon what nintendo started 30 years ago.... but most of the basic idea after that where more about moving existing tech from one place in the household to an other....

Maybe by now he feels too tight within current gen's limits and he'd like MS to push more PC gaming, where he could enjoy larger HW resources. Obviously, if he so likes, he could focus on PC developing anyway, but given how ambitious are his projects, he wouldn't turn down some more help and PC focused advertising from MS.
If what he says isn't dictated just by his wet dreams, maybe he means that keeping an eye on competitors shouldn't degenerate into obsession because it makes people and companies work worse.
