Forums - Gaming - Anybody else worried about the lack of reviews for Lollipop Chainsaw?

Pretty much everyone i have talked to over on TrueAchievements really likes the game.

Also heard varying times for completing it, some say 5-6 hours, others said 7-9 hours.

Having really liked Shadows of The Damned i'm not concerned about how long 1 playthrogh takes, it's about replayability, unlocks & of course achievements.

Got it on pre-order........... hurry up Friday..!!!

60$ for a 6 hour game. Better get Gravity Rush my friend.

That short huh? I will buy it eventually, but looks like my free redbox rental is going on this one if they carry it.

It's just that simple.

I'm pretty sure WB always puts an embargo with their games, but it's also right after E3 and some sites are still putting out the back end of their E3 footage and getting some R&R after their hell week. It's a Suda51 game. It's gonna get some low scores because it's not their cup of tea.

don't waste time

I'd wait for the reviews.
But then again, I was burned on No More Heroes and that reviewed positively as well. Not a big fan of Suda's recent output.

this, that game was so damn boring

I certainly am.  Hell, the game comes out tomorrow and I can't find anything on it.  Paid the game off already but I don't wan't to pay $60 for it if it's less than a 6/10 game.  Metal Gear Vita comes out tomorrow and I could get that instead.  Anyway:

I would say this type of attitude is one of the industries biggest problems and the reason why developers get bonuses paid on metacritic ratings etc.

You don't want to pay full price if it's less than 6/10. That's not 6/10 in your opinion but 6/10 based on the aggregated opinions of reviewers who are taken into account on websites. In fact I would say most gamers wouldn't even think of a game on a 10 scale in their own head. You don't finish a game and go 'huh that was about a 7/10'' or when a friend asks go ''Yea it's a 6.5/10''. You think about the experience as a whole.  I just finished spending around 50 hours in Dragon's Dogma and not once in my mind did numerically grading it pop up.

I'm not even entirely sure what being less than 6/10 means. So if you liked it but it got below that on metacritic you would be annoyed you paid that price?

It's a Suda 51 game. I can probably write the average review from sites like ign etc for you right now. Weird and interesting experience, solid if unspectacular gameplay mechanics, some very funny bits and some bits that fall flat, graphically okay but has nice style, light on content - 7/10.

Although you do possibly have grounds to be annoyed at paying $60 anyway. Over here in the UK it is launching at £30 instead of the normal £40. The equivalent to a game launching at $40 instead of $60 in the US I suppose.

just because you dont have a score or grade in your head, doesnt mean others dont. What is the alternative? You want that man to spend his money on something he might hate?? WHy?? All that does is encourage more bad to mediocore games being developed.

This is one of those games where is you wait 2 weeks it will be $30. The publisher left it to die.

I'm left speechless by this post.  Also, come to my Dragon's Dogma thread:  http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=143665&page=1#
