Forums - Gaming - Crytek: We have no games in development for Vita or Wii U

Saw this posted over on Gaf

IGM: Sony's PlayStation Vita has been on the market since February. Nintendo's WiiU is set to follow it at the end of the year. What is Crytek planning for these consoles?

Yerli: We don't have anything planned for either console. For the WiiU there will be games running on CryEngine, but they are from licensees. The PlayStation Vita is uncertain to us as a platform. On a technical level the Vita is appealing to me, without a doubt we could have fun with it. From a business perspective however it's somewhat too late.

Controller too hard for then? I mean actually have to innovate is a hard thing to do

I wouldn't expect Crytek to make handheld games. The other platform...well we already knew about that, sort of.

At least they're honest.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Don't care much unless they have Timesplitters 4 in store.

No real suprise on the Vita front.

I thought all they make is the Crysis series.

Not a big deal this game gets it sales from the bigger shooter platforms via PS3, PC and 360. They are probably making the right decision based on profit. You want a Nintendo gamer's perspective on Crytek and just read rol's response.
