Forums - Gaming - So whats the deal with Kane and Lynch, anyone play it?

So whats up with Kane and Lynch?  I was really interested in this game until all the mediocre reviews came out for it.  Then of course all the bad press related to the game.

Yesterday though I read the game surpassed 1 million units sold, and a company rep was talking about possible sequel.

The question i have is whether this game is any good?  Has anyone played it and what are your impressions of it?  Im a huge fan of the Hitman series, own all 4 of the games actually, and i heard Kane and Lynch were supposed to be a somewhat spiritual successor to the Hitman series.

So what are peoples thoughts on this games, specifically the ones that have played it.

Around the Network

First off its not hitman if thats what your looking for not even spiritually. the only level that reminded me of a hitman game was the club level. The rest of it starts off with a real cops and robbers vive which was kinda fun and ends with a I'm a disgruntled mercenary out to take vengence on the organization thats out to topple third world country governments because they screwed each other out of money kinda thing.

The story is dark and about the only mesage I got from it is if you do bad things bad things will happen to you. Its a pretty depressing game. If you look past the story it was a fair shooter. Squadmate AI was ok. The shooting mechanic was poorly implemented but not insurmountable. Somehow I still had fun with the game.

If you have $5 and about 8hrs to kill its worth a rent. I hear the online can be fun but I did not give it a try. I'm not a big fan of live.

It's a good game. The graphics are ok by todays standards. The game play is cool but frustrating at times but I think it's good.
