My thoughts exactly. Any other scenario doesn't really make sense. If the Janitor isn't part of the mafia how would they have known who to target or why would they even target someone? They would have had to have know that Rol was going to be targeted. Maybe the mafia didn't actually make the kill and something else is going on, but that seems very unlikely.

Just ask everyone if they are ok with you revealing who it was. If that person says no, then maybe you shouldn't? or you just step in if that person is gonna get lynched..

Why do you guys think Rol was wasted? There isn't much discussion here, so I thought I'd start on... Did the mafia (if it were them killing him off) feel uncomfortable with his digging? And since he was janitored, could he have been something else besides a townie?

This is directed at everyone asking about outlaw's "become more interesting" post. Not sure what is meant, but I would guess outlaw didn't get a PM which somehow suggests Rol was town until after the day already started.
