I'm skeptical as to whether it'll "change the web forever", I didn't really see anything in that ad that shows any drastic differences and obvious improvements to other browsers, specifically the one I use (chrome). I will try it out though since it's free. |
You likely won't switch from Chrome or Firefox to IE9. The new interface is great (much more in line with Chrome/Firefox), and it runs very well, but the lack of extensions is a killer. There are a few cool features, like different coloured tabs corresponding to which tab you originally opened them from (surprisingly handy), and being able to preview each tab in the Windows 7 taskbar (you can also enable that feature on Firefox). You can also pin favourite websites to the taskbar, but I've never used that myself. It's a very solid browser and by no means as bad as previous versions of IE, but without extensions, it won't replace Chrome/Firefox for me.

Go Team Venture! I still don't get the Wii, PS Move, and Kinect.
