Forums - Sports - Is the NFL in trouble?

http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20120506/SPORTS20/305069885/1008/SPORTS ------link. With the death of junior seau and a couple of other former NFL players whom commited sucide,in addition 2 100 former NFL player's suing the league for concussion related injuries,I was wondering if the NFL is in trouble. I personally have mixed feelings about this. I've been watching the NFL since I was seven and I love the sport and would hate to see it go,although I doubt that's going to happen. I do however think that the NFL should do more for former players. They should implement some health and wellness center for former players that have concussion-related problems and help them long after they've left the game. So,I don't think the NFL is in trouble yet,but the league needs to do much more to help former players and current players,so it stays that.

Concussion is a risk of the job. While the NFL may wish to provide post-career care, they shouldn't be obliged to. NFL players make enough money, there's nothing stopping them paying for their own plans.
