According to EBgames.ca Naughty Dogs "The Last of us" will be released on the 11th of september 2012. I mostly don´t give a damn about rumours like this, but the "The Last of us" is one of my most anticipated titles of the future. The september is usually a weak month for game releases, so Sony could avoid direct conflict with Resident Evil 6, AC III, Bioshock Infite etc. so it would make a bit sense to me. But we´ll have to wait on Sonys respond.

I'll more than likely buy The Last of Us on day 1. Naughty Dog has earned a high level of respect from me due the quality they put out.

I don´t believe in this rumour, but If I had to choose the best release date for better sales it would be first half of September. October and November are absolutely insane months, I would do what Gears 3 smartly did last year and be the first big gun to arrive, IMO.

As for me I don´t give a damm, I just want it in 2012.

While I don't entirely believe it (I don't think they'll release the game in 2012), if it did I'd certainly like it to be in September.

Gives me time to play the game a few times without having to worry about putting it down to play another game.

Would be nice but i doubt it. I think its very important that this game will release this holiday season because it will be the last big Christmas for the PS3. When next gen starts a lot of peoplke will upgrade to a newer system instead of buying games.
