I dont tink Sony copied them.

PS3 boomerang controller didnt have it. But they didnt add it to PS3 DS at last minute because of 360. And I dont think M$ copied Sony either. Certainly not PSP. M$ used it for a different typr of reason to PSP and was on early drawings of 360 controllers anyway. Long before PSP hit the market.

Theres such thing as similar ideas, and then teres blatant sifting of plans. Kinect altough very different to Wii waggle was a blatant copy of direction for example.

what is that little button above the "select" and "start" button?

:)

M$ copied and that's that but hey, feel free to say whatever you want about it to make you feel better

i'm just not going to respond in this thread anymore because i think i'm pretty much about to get banned -_-

i'm going to just lay low from here on out if i dont get banned for this specific comment

No it makes you feel better that Copy I mean Sony had a button out 6 months before M$ on a handheld device. Even though people held and used 360 controller on May 12 2005 completed and finished, pointing to the button being in its design long before M$ saw the PSP. But you just wont accept that . Its like saying Uncharted copied Gears Of War just because it came out after. Yet it was probably long past its design phase as a 3rd person shooter before they saw Gears. Or is it one rule for one in your case. As for boomerang I thought that was a logo as its flush to the pad. But hey it didnt come out so lucky I guess.

Sony IMO are notorious for copying, especially blatantly. Analogue sticks, Vibration, Achievements, PSN, Altough they copy well. M$ have to look at Kinect. Altough te wand is much more a blatant rip off as is this new brawl game.

Oh and if M$ do it, I'll rip tem to.

HOLY SHIT I'M STILL HERE!! ;)

lol in my last comment, i was basically trying to say "dont reply back to me" because i didn't want to come back in here

i was almost certain i was going to be banned when i logged back on lol

at your reply though:

but no it just brings me back to reality when you realise that Sony isn't the only company that copied. other companies have been copying for years

Analogue sticks

well actually i made a mistake in an earlier post but let me put this out their right now

the 1st video game console with an "analog stick" was the Acetronic i believe (released in 1976)

2nd was the Atari5200 (1982)

3rd was the Vectrex which had an "Analog thumbstick" (1982)

after this, the Analog stick was just simply "ignored" for a while

sega made 1 for the arcades with Space Harrier but i dont know how legit that is because it wasn't for a specific Game console if i'm not mistaken

the 4th was Sony when they released the "Dual Analog" Flight stick for the PlayStation gaming console (which released in April 1996 but was announced in august 1995)

The 5th was Nintendo when they released the "Analog thumbstick" having Nintendo 64 controller(released June 1996)

then Sega came with another that was packaged with the Nights into Dreams for the Saturn Console (July 5th 1996)

On April 25, 1997 Sony released a similar "Dual analog stick", based on the same tech that was used in Sony's larger "Dual Analog Flightstick"

Then in November 1997 they released the Dualshock controller which featured twin Analog sticks like its earlier controllers and added  2 new buttons under the Dual Analog sticks(L3 and R3 buttons)

i believe sony's controllers are the 1st controllers to have "R2 and L2" buttons AND "R3 and L3" type buttons if i'm not mistaken ;)

Dreamcast had a controller with an Analog stick and then Microsoft had a controller with Dual Analog sticks which imitated Sony's controllers

now if you say Sony copied "analog stickS" then i would say incorrect because they were the 1st to have Dual analog stickS on their controllers but if you mean "stick" as in just 1 then i can be complicated and say that Sony never had a controller with just 1 Analog stick lol or i could say if Sony copied then each game company in this current generation(Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony) copied with the analog controller

so its even there

Vibration

the 1st gaming console that "supported" vibration was the Nintendo 64 which you had to buy seperately as an add-on(i remember because i never owned 1 even though i got my 64 brand new back then)

the 1st gaming console to have vibration "built in" was the PS1 with its DualShock controller

even though Nintendo had butchered vibration support, Nintendo still did it 1st at the end of the day

so yes you can say Sony copied Nintendo with vibration. Then you can say M$ copied either PlayStation or Nintendo because they had their vibration built in the controller like Sony's PlayStation controllers or you could just say M$ copied nintendo because they supported it 1st

Achievements

yea M$ did it achievements 1st then Sony took those and called them Trophies and also implemented it differently with bronze, silver, gold, and Platinum. Nintendo is bound to have to copy the achievement 1 day especially since they might be looking to take their online further with the Wii U

PSN

yea i believe the Dreamcast was the 1st to do it with its SegaNet network

Microsoft,Sony and Nintendo copied with their own online networks(or atleast Nintendo's upcoming online Network)

so the big 3 are even on this 1

i know the main things Sony copied from Nintendo was its Mario Kart(with CTR which was vastly superior to Mario Kart 64) and the newly talked about Battle Royale(Smash Bros Clone)

i could also say Sony PlayStation Move copied Nintendo's Wii Mote which copied the Xavix

Oh and if M$ do it, I'll rip tem to

you trying to refute the fact that Microsoft copied Sony's PlayStation Home button contradicts this ;)

@ MODS

i'm not "adding fuel to the flame" i'm just replying, thats all..

Sure they could but it would be a horrible idea. There's just no point really in releasing one, it wouldn't be very successful and well it doesn't have the strong stable of characters Ninty has.

Though if they included 3rd party it wouldn't be that much worse of a roster than what Sony's brawler has.
