Forums - Gaming - Current gen games (for home consoles): how many are 'worthy' of being in your collection?

So, guys, of all the 360/PS3/Wii games you´ve played, can you say most of them are only worth a rental?...or a purchase to belong in your collection?

In my case, I´ve found most of the games I´ve played are very good for a rental. For example, I´ve had the 360 since 2007, played tons of games, but I 'only' own about 15 games for it, the kind of games that I keep replaying every now and then (such as Bayonetta, Mass Effect 2/3, Skyrim, etc..).

For the Wii, only Mario Galaxy 2, NSMB, DKC Returns, Mario Kart and Smash Bros, superb single player and/or multiplayer modes.

Overall, last gen I had more games in my collection..in this gen, a little has to do with gaming fatigue, I guess, and also the feeling that, while this gen has seen some real gems (as is the case every gen), last generation simply had more, also a drop in the quality of Japanese games (Nintendo excluded).

Even though the Gamecube is one my favorite all time systems, I have more PS3 games for (More than 25 I think). All these games are the ones I think are worthy of keeping.

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

From my own personal taste, I found there are quite a few games worthy of being in my collection. The thing is though, people have to NOT buy into the hype machine and see a quality game for what it really is.

I have only keept the good games, if I didn´t like a game I sold it. So I think all of the games I have right now are worth keeping.

I'm not a core gamer - not by a long shot - so I don't buy that many games. But I always buy "worthy" games. I haven't regreted a single one. But I have borrowed a few from my bro that I wouldn't buy :P

But as far as buying games, I have exellent taste ;)

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
