It's certainly one of the best looking XBLA games out there with the MS enforced 2gb file size limit. But the upgraded game engine, though doing a lot more work the Trials HD, isn't without it's faults. The first game looked pristine sharp (though with slight top and bottom black borders) and was completely v-synced. Now full screen, Trials Evolution is noticeably a lower resolution and employs soft v-sync i.e it screen tears to maintain the 60fps refresh rate. It also now streams textures so texture pop in is now evident though it is quite minor and lasts for literally a second or less at the beginning of the level.
Like I mentioned earlier Trials Evo is doing much more than Trial HD so something had to give. And it still does all this at a blissful 60fps (waits for the 'I can't tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps comment). Oh and the game is just pure fun. One of the best sequels this gen.
