Cheater!! Ban ALL of his votes!
New Girl 28
Once Upon a Time 24
American Horror Story 19
Don’t Trust the B----- 18
Grimm 10
Pretty good list of finalists. Only one of those I haven't seen is American Horror Story.
Person of Interest would have gotten my vote, but I didn't participate in this because I haven't seen 99% of the shows on it.
New Girl was okay but too "silly" for me, I'm not a big fan of the dumb girl type main character, although Zooey is super hot. And I've only seen 2 broke girls once or twice but it wasn't that funny to me.

I really like it. Apparently it's going to be a completely different story from season to season.
I'm really happy with all of the top 10 (never really seen Homeland, but I hear it's a quality show). There were a lot of shows from the total list of 35 that I don't personlly care for, but all of my very favorites ended up in the top 10. And three of the very worst shows (Whitney, Chelsea and The River) came in dead last, so that's good.
Interesting top five I guess...
Anyways, for fun:
Best new show: Homeland
runner ups: Enlightened (not sure why this wasn't on the original list), Awake, Touch
Worst New show: American Horror Story (dreeeeeadful show)
Just my personal opinion.

I had never heard of Enlightened, otherwise I would have included it. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Awake, although I think the idea is very cool. I just thought I was going to like it more, I suppose, but I do feel it was eliminated far too soon from the list. And I agree, Touch is a cool show.
I'm curious, what exactly didn't you like about American Horror Story?

lol I'm not surprised you didn't hear about Enlightened, actually. The viewership for it was pretty damn low, but it still got picked up for another season :D. It's an "aquired taste" show, so I'm not sure many people would like it, but I do.
As for Awake. I was a little disappointed with it because it ended up focusing a bit too much on the procedural crime aspect, when I wish it focused more on the psychological aspect like the pilot (man, I loved that pilot), but I still think it's a great show.
Now AHS.... I'm not sure where to begin. Well, let's start with the characters. They were all so shallow to me and the fact that the family was so dysfunctional I couldn't care less about them, so whenever they were in danger I was like "whatever, I don't care". In fact
when I watched the first episode I said to myself "Ugh I hate this, I hope the whole family dies in the end" and low and behold they did, so that was kind of nice{/Spoiler]. It's a very predictable show too. I predicted soooo much of the events that happened
except for Violet being dead since she took those pills
. Also, I was hoping for a scary/creepy horror show as well, but it ended up being the most cliche horror elements and tricks you could think of. It was never scary for even a millisecond. Actually, I ended up laughing at the show more than anything else. So when people were shocked that they submitted themselves for miniseries instead of dram for the Emmys, I was thinking they should have shocked everyone and submitted for comedy XD. But that's just me, I guess. Although, I will admit the acting was great, especially Jessica Lange. She will definitely get an Emmy for this show.

Yeah, I don't think the characters were ever supposed to be the stars of the show as much as the house itself was. The family was definitely very dysfunctional, but to me that fit the show pretty well. I did find the show creepy, but not really scary. I just enjoyed it, though, which is why I like it. And yeah, the part where you realize that Violet was dead was my favorite part of the show. I love how she tries to leave the house, running out the front door only to enter from the back over and over. And I agree, the acting was excellent, particularly Jessica Lange, who was superb.
