So it seems once more that when a game is finally out and reviews are in, all talk about it just dies down.

Today is the official release date in Europe.

Any other members who bought the game yet? Give us your impressions. (but without spoilers PLEASE) Zarx at least... are you still there lol?

Aside of some technical issues of the PC version this game is really good, the combat it's really fast and satisfying with a lot of combos to purchase, the skill tree adds more depth to the game, you can chose between specializing more in strength skills or more in magician type skills.

The bosses so far are great and the atmosphere of the game is amazing, love getting on a horse and see the mountains and trees that are afar. The music is also fantastic, something that I really didn't expect for a game like this.

There is a LOT of weapons to buy or found around in the world, which is something I don't really like: there is waaaay too much weapons and armor in this game, it wouldn't be such a bad thing if it wasn't annoying at some points, for example: getting all the way to remote part of the map to get a weapon that it's weaker than the one you are currently carrying, you can still sell it and all but it's not worth the trouble.

I haven't finished the game yet but the story so far is so-so, it's good but nothing that it really hooks me up, although the character Death is awesome, he is cool looking and have some funny dialog here and there.

The game have been pretty easy so far, I've only died once and I'm playing it on hard.

Overall this is a really good game so far, I definitely recommend it

Some updated impressions

The later areas do ramp up the difficulty, there are a few sections I have had trouble with. The platforming sections are sadly pretty repetitive now tho. There is quite a nice amount of enemy variety but there are a few reskins with one or two new attacks, and you do kill a lot of each type of enemy, the encounter design keeps it fresh by throwing different combinations at you which is nice. And there is quite a bit of Zelda style padding, and the overworld is a bit bland. And the side quests aren't as well designed or numerous as I would like.

I have run into a few bugs, but thankfully nothing game breaking so far. But all in all I would say that it is my GOTY so far. It's just damn fun to play, and has great art. I hope it sells well enough to see a third game.

I'm waiting for the WiiU port... But I still have to play the first one on my PC!! So far it's sounding good! I hope the WiiU version is even better!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

A great article on making Darksiders

Something that the Wii U version can do a lot better is the weapon and armor changing, it's kind of annoying to pause the game every time you want to change your gear, specially since there are so much weapons in the game, having the gear display all the time on the GamePad could be really useful

yay patch info, I kinda feel like waiting for this patch to be released before finnishing it now lol. I do have Sleeping Dogs and a Beta to play.  I really wish there was a HD texture pack tho, it's sad to see great art marred by such low res textures with compression artifacts.

Your feedback is incredibly important to us, so we have been working around the clock to address issues that some of you have been having, as well as adding features you have requested. The team is prioritizing finding solutions to these issues.

PC:

We are working on fixes for a number of bugs which can potentially block progression that have come to our attention, while also exploring adding additional features you have been asking for. This work includes vsync updates, improved shadow map resolution, X-axis options and additional keyboard mapping options (amongst other community requests). We hope to roll out a number of patches to address these issues in the weeks to come.

Console:

A small number of our players on Xbox 360 and PS3 have informed us that they encountered bugs, which can potentially block progression while playing the game. We are investigating and working on fixes for the issues that we are aware of and hope to release them as soon as we can. We have prioritized addressing these issues but please be aware the approval process for patches can take a little while. We would like to thank you for your patience.

Keep your eyes peeled here on Darksiders.com for updates on patch timing and content.

Have played it right now some hours and what should i say as much as i hate the first one ( the first one was a bad game to my eyes) as much i like the second.

Darksiders 2 is really a step forward. The Hero is much cooler and the world is big and beautiful. I really like the game so far but ive only spend about 2 hours in it.

Not a perfeckt game but a really good game and the surprise game of the year for me.

Does anyone here finished the game already? I want to talk about since it was a little bit confusing (and to some degree disappointing) or maybe I should make an other thread because of the spoilers?

So having decided that the side stuff that was not worth the effort to collect everything and just finishing the game.

I have to say that it is very dissapointing in the end, not so say it's a bad game. Just that it feels a little unpolished, and the story doesn't have the payoff I would like, the first game had a better ending. There also seems to be wasted opertunities all around the game from story, to loot and side quests. The game could have been amazing yet in the end it is just a good game, for a game with such great ambition that is sad.

I have to say I would kill for a third game which moves the story forward, and the dev comments about the next game (if there is one) being a more focused experaince is actually reassuring.
