Forums - General - Which is better, League of Legends or Starcraft 2?

Which is a better game?

StarCraft 2 12 75.00%

League of Legends 4 25.00%

Total:16

I realize they're not completely equal games, but Ive been having a rather heated debate with two of my buddies about which game we should be playing, and recently I've been getting voted down, and so we play Leage of Legends over StarCraft 2.  Much to my chagrin.

So, my question is, why do so many people choose LoL over SC2?

I find LoL boring, too slow, and extremely repetitive, and I think StarCraft 2 is a much deeper, more engaging multiplayer game that is much better at passing the time. Am I wrong?

StarCraft II is the right answer here.

SC2 didn't even have ability to be in a chatroom did it (when it was first released)? Step back for Blizzard in my opinion. Blizzard couldn't have fucked SC2 as much as it could. I didn't think it was possible but Blizzard did fuck themselves and everyone.  Oh wait....  NVM... I forgot who owns Blizzard.

Yeah StarCraft was also my favorite Internet Chat Client.

I really want to support Blizzard... However, since Blizzard has been acquired from Activision I find myself less and less wanting to even give a shit about Blizzard.  They are making the same business moves and shit moves as Activision.  Let us take a step back and reflect what Blizzard tried to do with their forums.  You remember the REAL ID by Blizzard??  LOL.....  Fucking dumbest shit ever...   A Blizzard employee even dared to reveal his identity and location which was easily done within a few hours (possibly minutes).  The Real ID forum was the start of the end for Blizzard.  They are run by idiots now and even though Activision is said to be out of the process I believe they are leading Blizzard to failure.  Goodbye Blizzard you were just as good as Bullfrog yet bought up by a 3rd party developer and turned to shit.

Did it not? I seem to recall chatting somewhere, maybe I'm confusing it with another game.

At first they took out the entire chat network of bnet from SC2.  I am sure they probably restored it by now.  However, to take out the chat channels from SC2 at the start was pure idiotic.  Same can be said about them wanting to ban people that backstabbed.  Guess what Blizzard????  If you don't want people to backstab then take the ability to unally an ally out of the game (you stupid fucks).

People make mistakes. Real ID was a bad idea, they didn't go through with it in the end. Nothing you have mentionned affects the fact that StarCraft II is a very solid game with incredible depth and a fantastic matchmaking system. Who gives a shit about a chat room? Back in the StarCraft: Brood Wars days I didn't even look at them, they were mostly pointless and it's not like there's no chat options in SCII.

Blizzard has made some serious mistakes, yes.  But Starcraft 2, in my opinion, is a killer game.  So I at least tip my hat to them for that.  Maybe not all the rest.

Real ID was about the dumbest idea that anyone could come up with.  I don't even think a two year old could come up with such a stupid idea.  Blizzard only didn't do it because they were about to lose million (yes millions) of customers.  Everyone stuck a middle finger to Blizzard for it and even the all mighty Blizzard had to bow down.  Treat your consumers like shit = you become shit.  Blizzard is on a losing path is all I want to bring up.  I know their strategy yet I don't see any sense in it now.  They will always be but will they always be relevant?  Probably not..   I see Blizzard on a downward slope.
