This just happened to me today when I picked up another PS3, but it was a female at the register.

Who said anything about Gamestop?

I went to buy my 3DS and 2 games yesterday. There was a new guy working there and he was very friendly. Since i was the only one in the store at the time we had a nice chat about some of the games and consoles we liked. He didn't even ask me if i wanted anything extra. He even said he'd do a midnight release of any game i wanted since he thought i was a cool guy, even if the game was "animal adventure kitty land fun time" he'd do it haha. He gave me a application and mentioned that he was the one who does the interviews. I'm considering working there since i love the atmosphere and it's only a 5 minute walk from gamestop.

Point is, different people work in different stores. not all of them are bad.

I tend to only go to small local shops for game purchases. Good service and so many of them break release date of new games... They also don't have any extra bullshit to try and sell you.

a few years back a friend of mine bought a Wii and a new game, after he got home he took a closer look at the receipt and realised that they charged him extra $5 of 'insurance' for the game without asking him.
