Great news! After a rather unexpected hiatus, iamnotacleverpony has returned! Sounds like she had a rough time of things personally, but things are looking up and she is starting to compose music again.

"A I miss making music. I'm slowly composing again, I just finished a 30 second demo that I put on some soundcloud account.

B I will be hanging out at the summer Bronycon, somewhat incognito (my hotel room was just confirmed, yay). I'll wear a hoodie or something as to not scare people. I just really want to say hi to a handful of folks and pay my respects to Ms.Faust.

C There's a big chance I'll do an intimate, post-bronycon show. I'm planning on performing some of the old tracks on my trusty AkaiAPC40. If all goes well, I might bring some friends, and make it a proper 'con afterparty.

D Regarding my future music entries, save for the mini-show above, I will leave the name Notacleverpony alone. It was a pony-exclusive project, really. Many people liked what that name represented and the last thing I want to be is indelicate."

Edit: Also, makkon confirmed that notacleverpony would be saying something here... and posted a new (non pony) song, which mentions that we will be seeing much more music from him now that the summer break has arrived. Yes!

This song was an utter joy to write, all of the elements just worked so wonderfully together, even the bridge was a happy accident. I had an amazing moment when the various scrap midi tracks I put aside happened to be too close to my main work area, and I forgot I turned off loop.

And I love bells. There are about 9 variety of bells in this song, including an arabesque and tubular bells. The percussion section is massive, of course, I love huge orchestral percussion.

This, along with Eurobeat Brony's work, is responsible for starting pony fanmusic. If the same work had appeared now it likely would have got no attention, maybe stuck in a 5-track instrumental post, because those that followed really stepped up the production value, made them tie into the show more, or added vocals/samples.

@Soleron: I honestly don't care why she did what she did. That's her personal business. I do, however, like her music and I would like to hear more. I was under the impression that she would be doing pony and non pony music, just under a new name. Even if she doesn't make any more pony music, I don't mind if what she does make is enjoyable. It would be sort of like Makkon; he makes non pony music and pony music that I enjoy. I still get to hear music that I like, so that works out great for me.

I agree with Soleron, if her music isn't pony related, it shouldn't be posted to ED. I think she did some background music for lulz too.
