Finally got around to watching both episode 4 and 5 today. Both were pretty good, but I enjoyed episode 5 a bit more.

I always found the episodes dealing with the cutie mark crusaders to be a bit meh. They are still enjoyable, but I would rather them not focus too much on that this season, especially with so few episodes remaining. The whole premise about not bullying has been done enough as well. I wonder if they will all get their marks at the same time or not, it might be awkward otherwise.

Episode 5 was much better imo. Trixie was a great character and I'm glad they brought her back. I felt they should have touched upon how the amulet came to be a bit more, but that isn't too important. Also, I thought they were going to show some hard core training when twilight was with Zecora, but they just skipped to her doing all those great spells. (Which I thought she actually learned in a day or so...) It had me thinking that Twilight had come a long ways from where she started, but it was all fake. lol In the end she shows off by making some animals levitate. All the while, she is able to teleport? She could have thought of something more substantial to show off to the princess.

...religion is too much of an issue in the US to want to bring up, especially allegory to existing religions. It won't just be a voice change required if they do that.

Different in that their gods apparently walk among them, if other gods don't go and turn them to stone or vapor or shoot them to the moon.
