For those that haven't seen it yet, first link is up. I'm going to watch it after I have eaten (although I am not sure when that will be -.-)

10/10 A++ Best episode bar none.
Feel so sad I haven't been able to watch it yet with all the praise I have seen for it ;-;
Ok, definitely worth the wait. Such a good episode. One of my favs by far, I actually like Trixie now lol.
*SPOILERS*
Is this the first time it's been openly stated that Zecora can use magic? Before now I thought it was just supposed to be that case that she creates potions etc. and her magic was the use of magical ingredients rather then her own latent abilities.
Fantastic episode- hopefully more stuff like this in the rest of S3

Gawd when Twilight swapped genders wuith Apple Jack I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Don't give her balls!"

I have to admit that I was skeptical about this one...
Trixie coming back seemed like a pretty clear attempt to please the fandom. Fortunately, it turned out much better than I thought it would, although I think they could have done something much better with the amulet. I started to look forward to this episode more after I read someone's theory on where the amulet came from. Namely, King Sombra. I would have loved to see Sombra as the power behind the amulet, and the reason for corrupting Trixie.
Fluttershy... eh. She was really overdone this episode. At least it wasn't Pinkie Pie, who's now had two episodes this season where I enjoyed her role quite a bit.
I wanted to see Twilight's training with Zecora turn into a more Dagobah like scene, honestly... My new headcanon is Zecora = Yoda. I believe that Faust originally planned for Zecora to be a mentor of sorts for Twilight, and I'm very glad that she returned in that role.
Quite a lot of references to past episodes. Better yet, they worked pretty darn well and didn't feel forced.
While I like the focus on Twilight's magical training... the whole animal flying thing was really dumb. It was supposed to be impressive, and it probably is within the show's canon, but... eh. I wasn't impressed.
Overall, a very good episode. I feel that what would have really helped push it up for me was some better background music. Don't get me wrong; I love Anderson's work on the show. I just felt like a lot of the BGM in this episode was too generic and bland to really contribute to the episode in any meaningful way.
oh yeah

I do agree on that particular point. Of all the super-spells showcased in this episode, Twilight's focus was levitation, something she expressed in the Crystal Empire was a cinch, even if this was manipulating a lot of objects
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Just broke up with my girlfriend, don't suppose anyone has any good pony pictures to help cheer me up?
