XFire is better than steam in my opinion as a computer communication and game time logger tool anyway. Also XFire supports almost every game straight up. Steams alright but the only Steam game that works on my gaming computer is regular half-life 2 so I've pretty much disowned Steam and only log on every once and a while to check if my other steam games started working yet.
Use to have xfire like 6 years ago but once steam got better switched over
