New Mario Wii U at E3?! Miyamoto himself confirms?!

- Nintendo is making new types of games as traditional types are now being released on iPhone/Android
- Miyamoto is readying his staff for his retirement; he’s taking young/bright developers under his direct command
- Miyamoto is working on a few small projects, but is very focused on Pikmin 3 and Luigi’s Mansion 2
- Nintendo will show a new Super Mario game for Wii U at E3; it will combine the TV screen with the new controller
- Miyamoto wants to do more with the Wii Music idea

I understand theres a two fold problem here. One side, shareholders, think its positive to manufacture cheaper consoles, and bring more profit (i don't see Apple investors caring that Samsung spends more on their tablets for eg.), whereas the other side, core gamer/ tech heads, thinks OH GOD WERE ALL GONNA DIE!

Well we knew there would be a Mario game unveiled sooner or later, but if they're showing one at E3 then that means it's likely to be out relatively close to launch (i.e. within the first year).

The only question is if it's 2D or 3D Mario.

^There is no universe or alternative reality anywhere in my imagination where Mario DOES NOT launch a new Nintendo console (yes, ill ask you to forget all the previous console launches without Mario now), least of all a type of generational leap into High Definition.

The problem for me, and the one id assume Nintendo have already made a decision on, is whether a redesigned Mario game is a good idea for HD graphics. I think Mario games have to look different now, but i don't know how different, and id assume after Skyward and Epic Yarn Nintendo know what they're doing.

Eurogamer are saying (with confirmation from Nintendo) it's actually a Super Mario Bros game, which would obviously imply a 2D game...

It looks nice, and only video I've seen was Pre-Alpha footage.
