Forums - Gaming Discussion - Microsoft Promises Biggest Year yet for Xbox 360 - Accidentally Reveals Fable Heroes XBLA

Turkish said:
Well last year I can't think of any 360 exclusive release beside Gears of War 3, this year they have already 2: Star Wars Kinect and Halo 4. Imo MS is focusing on their new console and Kinect. Ever since 2009 I felt like MS was lacking in exclusives, it used to be different in the beginning of this gen, when MS had Kameo, Japanese RPGs like Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, Banjo Kazooie, now its only Gears and Halo iterations x.

2010 :

Mass Effect 2

SC Conviction

Alan Wake

CrackDown 2

Fable 3

Limbo

Reach

Tons of XBLA

2011 :

Gears of War 3

Forza MotorSport 4

Halo HD

Tons of XBLA

2012 :

Alan Wake AW : XBLA

Witcher 2

Halo 4

Forza Horizon

Fable: The Jorney

RySe

Tons of XBLA like DeadLight, Traisl Evolution etc.

Pretty strong for me.

Everyone can argue with me but the key point of the original topic was that Microsoft had their best year last year and this year they are expecting it to be even better. Think about it, really, what made their year the best?
'
Let me spell that out for you kids so the case can be closed. No one in here has anything to do with it, unless you are buying Kinect bundles.

They are expecting casual sales to rise.

Onto the next topic.

Its being swept under the rug by PS3 propaganda but 2012 will see 360 potentially not only selling more then PS3 but release more quality games then PS3.

Offcourse im factoring in retail, XBLA, and Kinect games. The entire package.

PS3 on the other hand just has retail games going for it as PSN offerings (aside from Journey) look small and Move specific only has Sorcery.

Lol 360 is now ganging up on PS3 with 3 varieties of games to PS3s 1

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

"That's the way we look at it," he says: "showcases for what the platform's capable of."

Answers to the top three quotes then I'll go back to my party chat:

1. Quantity was what you were going for, but failed to deliver ever since the first Xbox. Stay in the safe zone where you belong.
2. You've pioneered nothing but online. Online was inevitable for consoles and MS was the only one who could do it properly. In fact it was planned since the genesis days.
3. So basically a poor mans PC experience is what you want to show off, rather than something that shows off the 360? There is no exclusive that does this outside of Forza 4. The only graphical marvels the 360 has are already on PC where they natively show off their power. Come on Microsoft, show that you're a gaming company and not just a typical publisher.

finally your true face.

I read through the thread and you really came up with a lot of nonsense. MS losing money with first party studios? They reported a gigantic profit in a time they opened 3 studios and bought Twisted Pixel.

The 360 library is the most diverse of all three IMO. A lot of core titles from 1st and 3rd party, a lot of casual titles from 1st and 3rd party (some of them for Kinect, some of them with regular controls). Plus the greatest lineup ever on XBLA and Fable Heroes will prove it again, just like Alan Wake, Haunt and Crimson Dragon will.

The funny part is that you were talking about core titles at first, before you switched to "variety". In a year with games like Steel Battalion, The Witcher 2, Halo 4, Fable, Crimson Dragon, Alan Wake, Ryse, Star Wars Kinect, Kinect Rush etc etc all exclusives, your logic makes zero sense for both scenarios. Add all the multiplats like GTA V, Max Payne, CoD, Mass Effect 3, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Resident Evil, Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands 2, Street Fighter x Tekken, Silent Hill etc. and you have barely time to play all thtese titles.

Why do quite a few PS3 fans fail to understand that the Xbox 360 is just doing fine for the past years. I don't get why people like you (or VG King) are desperately searching for something to prove that the PS3 is superior. Who do you guys want to convince anyway?

LOL My true face. Just say it, did I answer those quotes incorectly? Just say it.

I'm not talking about games available to PC or consoles, but to Microsoft themselves. My logic makes a whole lot of sense. The Xbox 360 experience me fromat its core is a poor mans PC experience at its core. I can admit this, because the 360 has kept from buying a PC, because all their top exclusives keep coming to the 360 or consoles, period. Even Sony is catching onto this method by Microsoft. XSN, Too Human trilogy, Ninja Blade, Project Gotham is gone, Ninety-Nine Nights and much, much more have failed. The top four games....well...top three games now are becoming fatigued.

Microsoft are throwing core gamers a bone at best. The multiplats are coming without a struggle because third party publishers want the highest profit possible. If you are a Kinect owner, the 360 is king because its exclusives are at the helm.

Wow, Since you're so much of a Sony Fan, what are you even doing in this thread??.

And i believe it was the PS3 that was trying to be a poor mans PC, you know with the Other OS and that, But that failed big time for them.

And MS Exclusives sell alot more then Sony Exclusives, is the're something about that, that you don't like??.

Sony's Exclusives can't even outsell the 3rd party games on their own console most of the time.

The COD games etc mostly always sells better on the 360.

Sony has been playing catch up to MS all along this gen, and thats fact..

Now to move back on topic.

I can't wait for monday to come :D .

MS exclusives sell a lot more than Sony exclusives? The main halo games do, Gears of war sells a few more, but other than that? Hmm..

Thats exactly it. MS and Sony exclusives generally sell on par...but only MS has the big exclusives like Halo and Gears to widen the gap. They have multiple games this gen too where as theres only been one Metal Gear big game for PS3, one GOW, one GT full game. Im not including Kinect Adventures, and keep in mind Halo 4 is gonna outsell most PS3 exclusives this year combined....

Top 5 Games on 360 Not on PS3 and vise versa.

Halo 3 = 11.48, Halo Reach = 8.85, Gears 2 = 6.16, Halo ODST = 6.02, Gears 1 = 5.92

GT5 = 7.29, MGS4 = 5.58, UC2 = 5.49, LBP = 4.84, GOW3 = 4.31

This website is a resource and I suggest we use them. Not only does 360 have more million sellers but 360 million sellers sell way more then PS3s.

And if this is a strict 360 vs PS3 discussion, then its noteworthy to note 360/PC titles that sell in the millions and how the top 4 best selling games off all time on PS3 sold millions more total on the 360 versions.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

TL;DR

Can anyone just update me on if this sounds legit, or just a ton of Kinect shit nobody cares about?
