Makes sense, considering the size of Gamestop in the US, I did wonder why they never made much of an effort to expand into the UK. Can't say I would be thrilled, but I would rather have a dedicated video game retailer like Gamestop than to see the high-store stores all implode and be forced go to a supermarkets who have tiny selections.

I agree. I have gone to gamestop to buy "new" games and they did not have sealed copies of the ones i wanted. I left and went to wal mart or best buy. I do not like gamestop, i dont like their used game sales practices, i don't like that they will sell an opened game as new, and their employees do not seem that well versed on all games, just what they play. I have only been to 3 different ones, but they were all the same.
