It's a really cool idea, but, man, I have a hard time seeing some of that stuff happen anytime soon. I have a funny feeling the store isn't going to put people on the honor system for what they do and don't put in their carts...

Also, I think they tried to put that scanner in the most awkward spot possible...

Great idea, but not for kinect at all.

Great solution: Simply put a bar code scanner on your cart for 15$. The kinect is really only there to follow him around, and that's kinda lame.

Youll have some idiots who will rip it off and steal it. shame

I saw that the other day; it is a neat concept, however it still needs a lot of work. I don't know how effective it will ever truly be, due to how the hardware works. It will be pretty impressive if they follow through with this and get it to work correcly.
