Forums - Microsoft - Crytek attending the Durango developers summit in London

VG247

Sean Tracy, a technical designer for Crytek, has tweeted the news that he’s attending the Durango summit in London.

Supposedly, Durango is the codename for Microsoft’s next Xbox.

No word on whether this is actually a summit for the new Xbox, or if the codename refers to the city of Durango, Coloradoone of Mexico’s 31 states, or even the SUV from Dodge.

Project Natal, which was named after the Brazillian city, ended up being Kinect.

Durango was rumored to be the next Xbox console’s codename by Kotaku earlier in the month, with various sources also hosting the news.

However, Microsoft is not expected announced anything pertaining to its next console until at least 2013.

We’ll keep an eye on things for you, but it’s sounding more likely as many developers have been posting job openings for “next-gen” and “future-gen” systems for months on end.

Lionhead and Bethesda are just two of the latest.

Surprised there's a "developers summit" and no other leaks. Considering a summit must have a good number of individuals from major devs.

Either way, not surprising.

... It literally boggles my mind that there are people who have managed to reach such high places in companies yet seem to not have even the tiniest shred of intelligence. Seriously they MUST have signed an NDA. It must have been drilled into their head a million times that this is confidential. So first thing he does? States it on twitter.

Reminds me of when I was in school doing exams and at the start of the exam they say ''Make sure to write your name and student number on the paper'' Then the paper itself has it written in bold letters. They often then announce it again just before they pick up the papers. Yet there are always those people who somehow have forgotten to write it and either have to be reminded when it is getting taken by the invigilator or they panic after starting to leave and run up and ask if they can find their paper.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

So we should follow them to their secret development lair?

When is it?

I'll call German Intelligence, get them to put a bolo out for this man and his car, we must track his every move vgcharters!

OT:

If true, this could indicate good news, hopefully this means they're trying to gather developer support way ahead of the release date of the Next-Box.
