Casey Hudson, executive producer at BioWare, has confirmed Mass Effect 3 has gone gold. Not particularly earth-shattering news but at least we know there won't be any more last minute delays.

For those wondering what all this 'gold' business is about, it means development has been completed and the game can now be put on discs and readied for release on March 9.

Hudson said on Twitter: "After an awesome effort by our team, I'm proud to announce #MassEffect3 is officially GOLD! Many surprises await you - this week and beyond."

Oh well, I still need to finish a pure paragorn run on ME2 (got a pure Renegade and a mixed one), so those 3 days'll come in handy XD.
