Not sure I like this, Grosjean is a dangerous driver, he definitely needs to fix his driving.

Force India would be stupid bringing in Adrian Sutil again, better having Jules Bianchi, bringing back Jaime Alguersari, or giving Heikki Kovalainen the seat would be better.

Although this is early in today's testing: 1. Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes, 1:24.559, 23 laps (H); 2. Sergio Perez, McLaren, 1:25.481, 15 laps (M); 3. Valtteri Bottas, Williams, 1:26.444, 26 laps (M); 4. Charles Pic, Caterham, 1:28.092, 15 laps; 5. Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull, 1:28.439, 15 laps (H); 6. Max Chilton, Marussia, 1:28.900, 16 laps; 7. Daniel Ricciardo, Toro Rosso, 1:28.934, 16 laps; 8. Fernando Alonso, Ferrari, 1:32.335, 11 laps. 9. Nico Hulkenberg, Sauber, No Time, 15 laps; 10. Paul di Resta, Force India, No Time, 13 laps; 11. Kimi Raikkonen, Lotus, No Time, 4 laps.

This starts to reassure that Mercedes should be a good contender this year. The McLaren has slipped under the radar slightly but potentially they could have the dominant car as calculating fuel load and other factors put Sergio Perez overall in first in Jerez.

Doesn't seem like teams are testing fast laps yet this morning, or is it raining?

No it's not but the encouraging fact is that the time set by Hamilton was on hard tyres. I agree it's too early to judge but the pace by Mercedes yesterday show good potential.

Ah hard rubbers, that's not bad, I agree that Mercedes may very well compete better pace-wise than last season, which I like, better competition, they've still got a few reliability kinks to work out though, but hopefully they'll manage. :)

McLaren’s Sergio Perez set the pace on day two of this week's pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona on Wednesday.

Perez's best lap around the Spanish track was marginally quicker than Sebastian Vettel's fastest for Red Bull. Lotus's Kimi Raikkonen and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton were also within a second of the Mexican's time.
