Might contain spoilers.

What I like:  

Random battles have returned in a unique way.  I think future jrpgs should follow that format for random battles if they want to have any kind of life on consoles (especially since they are my favorite genre).  I like Serah more than Lightning as a lead female character.  The story seems interesting.   You can actually TALK to people instead of just walking by them and hear what they are saying.  You can make choices in certain dialogue situations.  Serah is cuter than Lightning in my opinion.  I hear they fixed much of the linearity of the game as far as where to go and what to do, but I have not really gotten that far to experience that.

What I do not like:  

I don't know if its because I havent played FF XIII in over a year, but the story seems a little confusing at the same time.  It will probably clear up and I hope it does.  The live trigger is not really needed in this type of game.  I feel they are just trying to make FF more and more like an action rpg by adding that live trigger.  Noel reminds me of a brunette Tidus, I am not sure if that's good or bad.  I don't like it because I want fresh characters.  The crystarium seems virtually unchanged, I still haven't gotten too far so I can't say for sure.  Lightning still tries to be tough (I know some people are going to hate on me but I think Lightning's character is way too overplayed in both games).  This doesn't bother me, but the graphics seem about the same as the first one.  I kind of hoped they kept the main theme from the first one, but they did not.

Seems like a promising title and that Square-Enix fixed alot of the garbage in the first one.  The stuff I don't like is really just nitpicking stuff.   I will probably do a review when I finish it.
