I really don't get this post. How do you come to the conclusion he's using opinion as fact off that part you quoted? And there is no judgement in what you quoted.

Back on topic:

I see the discussion is going this way about why its on ps3 etc, so I dug up a bit of info.

"It may seem silly, but on Xbox Live your identity is your Xbox Live identity. In the EVE universe, having people not know who you are is quite important." On whether a 360 version is a possibility, he says that working on platform "means you don’t have to make any awkward compromises, technically. Also you get the benefit of a closer relationship with that platform."

I believe they want all EVE Online customers right where they are. This way Dust 514 players on PS3 could probably dominate the EVE universe by themself. Thats my reason its not coming for PC.

Burn? Damn you are an easy target, I have so much I want to add, but don't feel like getting banned.

So back on topic: Microtransactions I have no problem with, as long as the game is game is free initially and the microtransactions are worth the value. The problem is, games like only thrive off large userbases - DC Universe Online was really depressing in the months before it became free online (I know that had a subscirption model), and I'm not sure if this game will have much appeal to most PS3 owners. I am hoping to be proven wrong, so I will be watching this game as it gets closer to release.

I doubt that this one will have a big impact. Lets be honest the only way to get some real fun out of it, is to play both games non-stop... and that is just waaaay to time consuming. Add in microtransaction with own currency, and you have bestcasescenarionichetitle written all over it
