I go where the games I want to play go. Primarily a Nintendo gamer until the PS1 came out. I even sold my N64. Then, I was primarily a Sony gamer until the 360 came out. Now, I'm primarily a 360 gamer. I'll probably get everything, though. I don't like missing out.

Technically, the Wii U is going to be a current generation console, not next gen.

But anyway, at the moment I am not likely to make the switch as soon as another console comes out.

Thats just ignorant. The WiiU runs a HD48xx series GPU at least 5 times faster than the Ps3. Since PC hardware hasnt gotten significantly faster in the last 2 years, even if the Ps4/Nextbox had Ati 6000 series GPU equivalents, the might be 20% more powerful than the WiiU at the most. Next gen is going to be an even closer playing field than the current gen and all 3 consoles will be 4-5x more powerful than the current HD offerings, allowing for every single game to run Full HD, with AA, and smoothly. The WiiU is definitely Next Gen. Why do people seem to think that because the Wii didn't have HD that it wasn't in the same generation as the Ps3/360? A generation is defined by the consoles that are competing for sales for any reasonable length of time.

Sorry about that. Fanboys make me mad.

Back on topic. I've already got the WiiU on preorder and i'm paying it off on a fortnightly basis so i dont have to miss out.

How so? Its like a lay-by before the console even launches. I slap down a $50 deposit on the WiiU, pay off that pre-order at $20 per fornight or whatever so that by the time the WiiU launches, i'll have put enough money on the pre-order to pay for the console, 2-3 launch games, and maybe an extra controller or some Nintendo Points. Its the same as simply saving the money myself, but i'm putting it somewhere where i can't touch it. Does the pre-order system in the US differ from that where i come from (Australia)?

I'll be getting a Wii U at launch most likely. I've not missed a Nintendo home console and I'm not in any mood to start now.

As for the others, I'm tempted to go with Microsoft for a change next gen whenever I look at my PS3 collection and see very few exclusive purchases recently (the only PS3 games I bought in 2011 were multiplatform games, and there are no future exclusives I'm interested in), but we'll see.

VGChartz

In the 7th gen I had a DS/Wii/PS3. So far for the 8th gen, I have a 3DS, and I will probably get a WiiU and a PS4, when I get them will be a case of their libraries.

So, no

if the WiiU has games i want at launch i will get it the day it is out. i only need one game and I will get it!
