I'm curious to know if anyone else is addicted to the DLC in Rock Band... I just realized that Harmonix has already gotten an extra $14 out of me for seven songs (including one I will download when I get home tonight).

Buddy Holly - Weezer
Brass in Pocket -  The Pretenders
Heroes - David Bowie
Bang a Gong - T.Rex
Jukebox Hero - Foreigner
My Sharona - The Knack

And tonight I'll pick up Interstate Love Song.

I'm really happy with how well Harmonix integrated the DLC into the game... The songs will actually appear in Career mode so you're not stuck only freeplaying some of the newer stuff. It also helps that they're trying hard to hit different decades and genres of music. It also helps that a lot of the stuff they're offering doesn't completely suck balls.

Anyway, is anyone else here playing bitch to Harmonix' new crack cocaine?

I've never played it but I find the songs so much better than in GH3, I'd buy this game instead of GH if I were to buy one.

The only use GHIII has received since I bought Rock Band is the guitar... Which I use for bass on Rock Band when friends are over.

I already sold my copy of GHII and I'm thinking of selling my GHIII game... I have no reason to keep it. I doubt I will ever play it again.

i think gh3 so be more like rock band in terms of DLC, i mean having a different game every single year (or more than one) is going to eventually destroy GH3. For a game like gh3 there's not that much that they can.

My very friendly upstairs neighbors that let me play whenever I want? About 2 3-packs and 6 individual songs.

RB is one of the few games where microtransactions will actually work (lol Horse Barding)

Those tricksy hobbitses over at Harmonix went and put the LP version of Heroes in the game... Most people only know the radio cut.

I bombed out hard the first time until I realized what they had done.

Heh, I'm in the odd category of "only listened to videogame music" so I'd never heard of most of RB's songs.

But...Bowie...jeez...I can't sing him at all. Heroes especially.

Friend put his own money to buy My Sharona and Little Sister (He thought Little Sister was white wedding, despite my insistances. Oh well)

The game badly needs a little Idol. Everybody can geek out to a handful of his songs. Hopefully if they do add some of his catalog, you get extra points for sneering the entire song.
