For some clarification I would just like to put this out there. I believe as a long term user I have the right to question the grounds of the article posted considering te matrial differs from what actually tok place. Or if M$ have sai differently sine the eynote speech.
Firstly make no mistake, CEO's and their companies no in much more minute detail exactly what they and their competitiors sales are at ALL times.
To address VGC article.. here we claim M$ announced the 66 million figur as shipped.
Here is Steve Balmers actual words.
"Xbox was the world sales leader last year for consoles. Currently 360 has OVER 66 million users and nearly 40 milion Live subscribers. Kinect since launch has 'SHIPPED' 18 millon units."
Now its odd that Balmer specifically said shipped for Kinect and Users for 360. YOu could decide he merely made a mistake on the 360. However, why would a CEO state these things incorrectly?
VGC may be right, but I just wondered under what infomation they have fro CES Keynote that M$ anounced 66 million shipped 360's.

Other sites are posting the news as 360 has over 66m users.
I also waatchedd the keynote and he did not say shipped for 360. But said shipped for Kinect.
