i don't believe I see ps3 owners actually ever asking for the game on the system? 0_o we have more than enough exclusives to keep us company

You speak for all PS3 owners? Really MUGEN, pathetically weak shot there.

There are going to be a lot of gamers out there that would like certain exclusives to come to their console.

what 'shot' are you referring to? are you actually saying people have been asking alan wake for the ps3? >_> you surely can't be serious

oh sure, like I said, if you search around I'm sure you can find one or two people...for almost any game on any console. but AW is definitely not one in demand..now if the article was about Gears, I would agree 100%! we see plenty of posts/threads about that. so you are right..'some' exclusives would warrant many wanting it on their console of choice..AW is not one of them

I've seen several people actually, but that's going to happen with almost all exclusives. Alan Wake was a highly pirated game, but the physical sales it did get along with the (higher digital sales) meant it reached a fair sized audience 2m~

Games like Bioshock and ME2 sold much better than AW, but even their ports managed 1 mill~

I don't know why you even had to point out PS3 owners have plenty of exclusives, do they not like playing multiplats then?

Who on this site asked for Alan Wake on the PS3?

Mystery Men. You can't see them coming. When you see them, it's too late, they already killed you with weak shots in weak points. For massive damage, obviously.

Sounds like this must have been a similar deal to the first Mass Effect - MS fund/champion for 360 first then PC release. I doubt at the time MS figured it was going to take so long to release though.

I'm still curious why Remedy are self publishing vs MS though - that still seems odd. I can't figure if MS don't want to push the IP on PC but don't want to clash with Remedy who clearly do want it on PC, or whether Remedy are unhappy with MS to some degree but (given MS did fund the IP) don't want to talk about it and have agreed some level of partial IP control.

It's an odd one.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Good. Let Exclusives stay that way.

They can't publish THE Alan Wake game for PS3. But they can publish THE Alan Wake 2 for PS3.

@ Ghutto , Do you mean PS4 as by that time the next generation would have begun!!!

You buy the 360 version or you buy the PC version. Both ways have the PS3 turned off despite which version you do play.

MS wins.

No. You pirate the PC version or you buy PS3 games.

SONY wins.

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

Especially when there are already so few left for the XBOX 360.

Good for us PC gamers!
IIRC, though, expectations for the game amongst PC gamers were higher when it was supposed to be free roaming.
