2. The word "Gamecube" shall only be used with respect. You should also stand when saying it aloud.

3. Do not, under any circumstances, ask someone to convince you why you should buy something. You know what you like. If you don't see the value in something, don't buy it. You may ask what some merits of a product are, but don't ask to be convinced. You are not that special.

"Convince me why I should buy Skyrim" = "Convince me why I should suck your penis". Either you want it or you don't, dammit.

4. Don't post your 3DS friend code and refuse to add people. If people add you, you HAVE to add them. If you don't add them, what's the point? To piss me off? If so, it's working.

5. The words "Virtual" and "Boy" shall not be mentioned side by side unless speaking of Hailey Joel Osman's character from the movie A.I. (Artificial Intelligence).

The one about GameCube cracked me up just imagining people standing up to say it.  I believe these other ones are top notch especially the 3DS friend code considering I have like 40+ people added that have yet to add me from VGC.  I need to make sure I have everyone added up to date also.  Anyways, I offended rule number 5 recently by stating I wanted to buy one.

no, not end of story. it just makes no sense what you say. it's irrelevant if a console isn't a gaming pc, apple or car. we all earn more every year for our work (on average ~3% in germany for example over the last 10 years) every company has to pay more for energy, workers and everything.

You should check out the average US worker wage.  I believe it is either stagnant which pretty much means earning less money considering inflation is outpacing the little percentage point increase.  I'd look the facts up but I am feeling a little lazy right now.  The only thing I can say is the average worker wage in US isn't really going anywhere especially due to the shitty economy.  Anyways, I am going to get back on topic and think of another rule here in a sec.

if a game is multi-platform, 3rd party should not provide exclusive dlc. the word doomed should not be used to describe any rivals platform for any reason.

Read enough doomed news/threads recently?

If you have a hot girlfriend and you own a Wii then you must purchase Wii Fit. Then you are commanded to post YouTube videos of your girlfriend in light clothing doing the hula hoop mini game.

Japanese will make Japanese games, and Westernizes will make Western games. There is no need for Japan to understand the Western market.

this is gold.

piracy should be punishable by death

Games shall not constantly tell the player what to do.

Signature goes here!

People who want to call themselves Hardcore must have played and finished Legend of Zelda, Adventure of Link and Super Mario Bros

How about no rules and just have fun. Dumb thread

1. Praise a game based on its own merits, NOT because of which platform it's on. When you talk about why The Last Guardian is so awesome, "because it's a PS3 exclusive" should not be one of the reasons.

6. I do the Zapp Brannigan quotes around here. Know your place.

7. Brannigans Law is like Brannigan's Love--hard and fast.

8. You don't get to bad mouth a game unless you have actually played it. Forza fans, leave Gran Turismo alone. Killzone fans, leave Halo alone. Just because you haven't played or can't play a game doesn't mean it automatically suck. It just means you haven't played it. This shall be known as the "Genesis does what Nintendon't Rule".

10. DLC MUST add something significant to a game. $3 for a goddam invincibility code that stops you from earning achievements if you use it once (I'm talking to you, Saints Row The Third) is some farkle-narkle bullshit. Costumes on disc, spending money for in game money, and Achievements/Trophies that can only be unlocked if you buy some shitty DLC (I'm talking to you, Magna Carta 2) shall be punishable by death (of the game company).

11. ALL Achievements/Trophies shall be obtainable offline. I should be able to earn my e-penis points in a game that's ten years old just as easily as a game that is one day old. How can I do that if I need to get ten kills online in Bionic Commando and NOBODY is playing online?

12. Pre-Order/Retailer Exclusive DLC shall be abolished. In the rare exception that a game does have such DLC, it MUST be available to all people within one month (for a reasonable fee). There is no reason for a game like Enslaved to have 3 or 4 different DLC's that are ONLY available for pre-order at 3 or 4 different retailers and ONLY available if you pre-order. Did they expect us to buy the same game the day it came out four different times from four different retailers? As it stands, I bought the game on Day 1 and I have no DLC to show for it. Again, this shall be punishable by two years of disrespect for your games company.
