It's really really fun. You get a lot of content for $60 so can't really say it's not worth that. I heartily recommend it for anyone who wants a 2D platformer, given your options on PS3 / 360 are this or Sonic Generation, Rayman wins hands down.

Can't compare to the Wii 2D platformers as I ain't played them but it's damn good either way.

not sure what you're talking about, but Sideways NY was released on PSN, in addition to Limbo earlier in the year. Fact is PSN XBLA has a bunch of 2d plats, do your research

I don't know alot about Sideways, other then it being reviewed sub-par. But Limbo isn't really a platformer imo, it didn't play anything like Rayman, or Sonic, or Mario, or Meat Boy where the focus is on the whole skillfully dodging obstacles and getting to the end. Limbo is more about the artsy traverse where you die a lot, and the appeal is seeing in how you die... I don't view it as a platformer either way.

Maybe Sideways was worth playing but the game did nothing for me in terms of trailers, reviews etc.

Outland was another great 2d platformer on the downloadable stores btw. There were a few but imo Rayman has been best of a pretty average bunch.

I was thinking about picking this up, but then I stopped lying to myself.

thanks Rol, I think I'll pick it up later. The Wii version is already at $35, soon will be really cheap.

Cant argue with that, I love Sideways myself, its different but familiar. Limbo, i dont think its about appeal at all, but it is more puzzle based, you have to figure out how to progress. But you're still jumping on platforms.
