Whatever they put on Cell why not use the GPU as well - it still offers additional resources? My understanding was they push a ton of additional computing (physics, animation, etc.) and a lot of additional graphics calculations through the Cell (thereby using it properly unlike a few games I could mention) and then push the final image plus some other visual elements through the GPU to produce the final on-screen render. I'm curious about this and will have to hunt around for some other articles to see what I can find. |
