For those unaware Gree is the largest social network in Japan. They took over famed American Mobile Social game company Openfeint and announced the creation of a mobile social gaming platform. A new title to launch on Gree's Mobile Social gaming platform is none other then Monster Hunter.

The company appeared to be lacking the heavy hitters required to make Gree's online platform a huge success until Capcom announced Monster Hunter Exploration Journal: Phantom Island. The game will involve exploration as you set out to explore this new Island you have been thrust onto.  But of course the gameplay will revolve heavily around the monsters as you both raise and battle them throughout the game. The game will feature monsters and characters found in Monster Hunter Frontier Online  . The game will draw many elements from MHFO and is expected to offer gamers a unique experience while remaining true to the Monster Hunter IP.

Gree has begun offering pre-registration to all customers who want to ensure they get their hands on the Monster Hunter title when it launches later this year on multiple mobile gaming platforms!
