Well we all know that Infinity Ward lost its founders alongside several staff members during its dispute with Activision. Many of the staff left the company to work for Respawn Entertainment which was founded by former Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vince Zampella. It would have appeared that Infinity Ward's staff were making a healthy transition to another hardcore game studio. As many await Respawns first new title to launch people have missed the fact that other leading members of Infinity Ward also left.
Well two of Infinity Ward's ace developers have founded a new studio Jupiter Moon Entertainment. The two founders Infinity Ward veterans Christopher Cherubini and David Chiapperino have a great history in the entertainment industry. In fact combined they have worked for the likes of Sony and Disney among others. Christopher Cherubini worked as the lead artist on the entire Call Of Duty franchise including Modern Warfare . he was awarded the Game Of The Year award during his time at Infinity Ward. While David Chiapperino is famed for working on some of the biggest licenses in gaming being a key developer in the World of Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean and Toontown lisences.
Together the two have formed a studio that will move away from massive multimillion dollar games and towards lower cost social and casual games for a broad variety of platforms. "Our goal of the studio," says Chiapperino, "is to create beloved experiences through character story, and gameplay."The first game to come from Jupiter is a new IP called Bunny Popper and it will see release on iOS devices during December of this year.
